Brunch at Beagle London

Where Beagle London What Brunch at Beagle Experience A few Sunday’s ago I headed to Beagle for brunch and bloody mary’s for the first time.  I now can’t wait to go back again for lunch or dinner or just later in the evening on a Sunday when they have a jazz band, as the food and cocktails are just too good to only go once. Beagle is also a very cool looking place set within 3 renovated railway arches and is so easy to get to as it’s right by Hoxton station. The brunch menu is so appealing and it made me wonder not only why I don’t brunch more often, but more importantly why I don’t brunch at Beagle more often – the menu includes oysters and buttermilk pancakes for crying out loud!  So much awesome choice does however make it hard to choose what to eat, especially on a Sunday when you are a little hungover (okay more than a little) and just want to order everything, so Rob and I decided to …

The Best Roast in London? Bacchus Sundays

Where Bacchus Sundays, Hoxton What Bacchus Sundays is the brain-child of the Bacchus Pub & Kitchen team. Formerly of 177 Hoxton Street it now resides as a weekly residency just down the road at the modern and distinctly characterful Hoxton Street Studios. Diners can expect traditional English roast dinners, honest prices and sleek loft style surroundings. I headed to Bacchus Sundays last Sunday with my friend Roxane. She admitted how hungover she was as soon as I arrived and I could see her salivating just looking at the mountainous plates emerging from the kitchen. Despite knowing the only option was a roast, I still felt incredibly indecisive when reading the menu, which included 12 hour roasted sirloin of beef, half a bantam chicken and Gloucester old spot pork belly; but my eyes lit up when …

Hoxton Street Market – I Love It

Recently I came across Hoxton Street Market and I have to say, I rather like it. I was there for the opening party a few weeks ago and it was great to see people dancing in the streets while enjoying the range of delicious street food on offer. I tried out an amazing Korean salad from Korrito – a Korean/Mexican fusion stall whose signature dish is a Korean Burrito. But this is no new market. Hoxton Street market has been trading since 1687 but the new stalls are injecting a bit of new life into the street. Head down on a Saturday and you will find food stalls such as Cannon’s British charcuterie and Hoxton Bakery, alongside beautiful homewares, vintage fashion and handcrafeted accessories including handspun yarns from Sheep of Steel, vintage clothing from Aurelia Dupas and Juan is Dead’s collectables from the afterlife.
