Supper Club at The House of Peroni

You may remember reading about my trip to The House of Peroni over the summer? After thoroughly enjoying innovative cocktails made with Peroni and small plates devised by Michelin Star holding Costardi Brothers, I was very pleased to be asked back to the November stint, which was held in the same grand central London townhouse. The House of Peroni was open to showcase the new wave of Italian style and creativity. The space, designed by award-winning architect and co-designer of the Enzi Ferrari museum, Andrea Margate, was a place where guests could discover fashion installations, a luxurious cinema space, a restaurant and a soundtrack developed by 25 exciting young Italian producers and DJs. I was there to try the Italian Supperclub, which would showcase old and new Italy with a four course menu. We enjoyed classic and modern takes on Burrito, Nduja and Herring Eggs, Casio E Pope (black pepper pasta), Rana Pescatrice Alla Sicilian and Polenta Cake. The Costardi Brothers at The House of Peroni

Last summer I was lucky enough to work on a fantastic project, which saw a huge range of Michelin starred chefs take up a residency at one of London’s iconic buildings in central London. The Costardi Brothers were a part of this residencey and I will never forget tasting their signature tomato risotto. So I was super happy to hear that they are back in London, this time at the House of Peroni, an ambitious project by the premium Italian style brand to celebrate and showcase the new wave of Italian talent from food, drink, design, art and fashion. I was invited to try a few bits from the menu last week and I have to say I was very impressed. The menu is called ‘Assaggi’, which is Italian for ‘taste’, and features an unexpected and contemporary take on traditional Italian dishes, with local ingredients imported from Italy’s Vercelli region. Prim & Proper Pop-Up Parks Up in Primrose Hill

On 1st & 2nd of June, NW1 will see it’s first pop up street event come to town. ‘Prim & Proper’ will park up on Regents Park Road on the forecourt of iconic wine wholesaler Bibendum. The event will fuse together some of London’s most iconic food wagons including Bhangra Burger, Mark Hix’s Fish Dog, Donastia Social Club and Rainbo. As well as a mouthwatering food offering, the iconic Wondering Wine Company’s Citroen H van will be parked up, serving guests with top wines from around the world, Prosecco and English fizz.
