Quick and Easy Dinner? Belazu has the Answer

I wish there were more hours in the day. I really do. I find that there isn’t time to do everything I want to do in life. I like cooking but I also like eating out and playing sport during the week. But I can’t do it all. Or can I? I really don’t think quick, easy and cheap meals have to come in ready meal format. There are loads of solutions that are healthy, will tickle those tastebuds and be kind on your pocket. I play netball on Mondays and Wednesdays and find it really hard to find the time to cook on those evenings. So I was really pleased to see that Belazu has just launched sauce jars, which heated up are perfect poured over cous cous. I made this a couple of evenings before netball. I tried the Tomato and Smoked Paprika and the Red Pepper and Rose Harissa sauces and it took literally 10 minutes to prepare. I served with a fresh side salad and it was the perfect dinner – …

Homemade pizza – in a pizza oven

I adore going to my boyfriends parents house for the weekend. They live not too far from the coast and have the most amazing house – complete with a pizza oven and a large veg patch in the garden. I also used a pack of the BEST iberico ham that I carved by hand at the Brindisa ham school a couple of weeks ago as a delicious topping. Here’s a recipe for dough and a basic tomato sauce – you can use whatever toppings you like. I usually prefer to keep …

Baked eggs with ibérico ham and parmesan

Most of you will know that we got three beautiful hens a few weeks ago. Only one of them is laying so far and the eggs have been quite sporadic, until recently when we’ve been getting one every day. Although we currently have 5 Bantam eggs sitting in our egg rack, I have to admit that the eggs in this recipe aren’t from our hens, they are from my boyfriends parents hens down in Chichester. We had some ibérico ham in the fridge that needed eating so I made a delicious dish of baked eggs with ibérico ham and parmesan for dinner. This dish is exceptionally easy and fast – it only takes about 15 minutes from start to finish, if that! Serve with a couple of slices of bread drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Ingredients 2 large cloves garlic 6 slices of ibérico ham (or enough to cover the pan that you want to use) 4 large free range eggs sprinkle of curly leaf parsley – about 4 …
