Mirror Bar – Cocktails and Canapes

A few weeks ago I went for dinner and drinks at The Landmark London. My evening started off with pre drinks and canapes in the Mirror Bar.  I decided to be brave and try the Pickled Onion Vodka Martini, a combination of Babicka Vodka, Vya Dry Vermouth, dashes of lemon bitters and a pickled onion. I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a little apprehensive; I love onions especially picked onion, but in a cocktail – I wasn’t so sure. I was very pleasantly surprised though, as it was deliciously different and impressively presented. Being brave certainly paid off and I’m now eager to return and try the mushroom & truffle martini. The canapes that accompanied the cocktails were just as tasty and well presented.

Winter Garden – Starter and Main

Finishing our cocktails and canapes we moved onto the Winter garden for our main meal. With a glass roof atrium and palm trees, it is quite possibly the most exquisite restaurant I have ever been in, yet alone dined in. The menu offers inspiring high-end British and Mediterranean dishes, which makes it very hard to choose what to eat as everything sounds incredible. Eventually I decided on the scallops with fennel, spiced and roasted cauliflower to start, followed by monk fish for main, which came with butternut squash, lightly spiced lentils, lime and coriander dressing. I enjoyed every mouthful of both my dishes. The textures and flavors were superb and its no wonder the restaurant has been awarded two AA rosette’s.

twotwentytwo Restaurant &  Bar– Dessert

As if my taste buds hadn’t been treated enough we moved onto the twotwentytwo Restaurant & Bar  for a delicious desert. My warm pecan nut pie with vanilla ice cream and an Espresso Martini was the perfect end to a delightful evening.
