Rooster Booster Superfood Salad, Clockjack Oven

January is the perfect month for dieting. Not that I do it, of course. But I know plenty of people that do. Despite not denying myself anything I want to eat, I have naturally felt like eating a bit healthier after the Christmas gorge. I was intrigued when I heard that Clockjack Oven in Soho has just released a Rooster Booster chicken superfood salad, specially designed by Alyn Williams. I visited Clockjack a few months ago and loved it, so I was excited to go back to try the salad and a couple of other dishes. The Rooster Booster contains a generous helping of the signature rotisserie roasted chicken, blanched broccoli, baby spinach and pumpkin seeds. It is dusted with paprika and served with a light yoghurt and mint dressing. We also enjoyed a chicken burger and the most delicious buttermilk-marinated fried chicken bites. The salad was not as seasoned as I would have liked but the best part was the succulent rotisserie chicken. My mouth waters now just thinking about it. Clockjack Oven14 Denman …

Phillips Viva Juicer from Argos

Every once in a while I go through a healthy phase. One too many burgers or pizzas usually pushes me over the edge and I spend the next few weeks being a good girl by going to the gym and eating healthily. I went through a juice phase a couple of years ago but stopped when I spilled my creation all over the kitchen floor one morning before work. The machine I had at the time wasn’t the easiest to use so I gave up as it was too much hassle before a hard day at work. This time, however, was different. Argos has a wide range of …

Graze your way through the day

I must say that I am amazed and thrilled to have found a perfect way to Graze (or snack as I like to call it) whilst at work. All you office workers out there will probably agree with me that snacking is a great way to alleviate some of the boredom that almost certainly comes with being within the same square meter for 7-8 hours of the day. At my current workplace, I am responsible for buying ‘sustenance’, in other words office supplies. This includes chocolate and biscuits, which are a must for clients and perfect for when it gets to THAT time of day. Hunger strikes and believe me, it really does. So I was extremely happy when my boyfriend passed me a little voucher, not much larger than the size of a stamp stating that i could get my first Graze box for £1. I had no idea what a Graze box was but I was intrigued and visited the website. I was impressed by what I saw… Their ethos is healthy snacking …
