Phillips Viva Juicer from Argos

Every once in a while I go through a healthy phase. One too many burgers or pizzas usually pushes me over the edge and I spend the next few weeks being a good girl by going to the gym and eating healthily. I was pretty good over the summer, then I took my first bite of a burger at The Advisory, my friend’s burger restaurant, which happens to be a 2 minute walk away from my house, and I was hooked. So I would say it was good timing when Argos got in touch to ask if I would like to try one of the juicers from their range. I went through a juice phase a couple of years ago but stopped when I spilled my creation all over the kitchen floor one morning before work. The machine I had at the time wasn’t the easiest to use so I gave up as it was too much hassle before a hard day at work. This time, however, was different. Argos has a wide range of …

Christmas Collection Hamper from Hampergifts

I know what you’re thinking. But let me tell you that when it comes to Christmas, you can never be too organised. In fact, when I was passing my local butcher at the weekend, I popped in to ask them how much notice we need to give for our all important piece of festive meat. I had my first taste of Christmas a couple of weeks ago when I was treated to a Hampergifts Christmas Hamper delivery. The hamper was almost too heavy to carry when it arrived and I had to ask the lovely delivery man  to carry it all the way across the office to my desk. When he left, I unwrapped everything and it felt like Christmas had come early. I popped open the lid of the beautiful large wicker hamper and rummaged my way through the Christmas coloured stuffing to uncover the contents. I received the Christmas Collection Hamper, which doesn’t just contain two bottles of red wine, a bottle of white and a bottle of Prosecco, but a whole range …

Viners Ardesia Knife Block Review

It is impossible to cook if you don’t have the right tools. I can’t count the amount of times I have gone over to someone’s house and pulled a blunt knife out of their draw. Chopping an onion with a blunt knife is near impossible! I recently lost a few of my best knives so a delivery of a Viners Ardesia ceramic knife block set couldn’t have been more timely. The knife block comes with three knives, ideal for slicing, peeling and chopping and the high-performance ceramic blades are not only sharper and lighter than steel but have a thinner edge, which makes cutting even easier. Since I received the block, I have tried out all three knives and I have to say that I prefer the smallest. It makes chopping vegetables an absolute breeze. Viners has a long tradition of creating quality and value products for every dining and cooking occasion and has been gracing British tables for over 100 years with an incredible range of kitchen products. The Viners Ardesia Knife Block Set, …

Southern Comfort: Introducing Shampoo Guy

Some say Shampoo Guy’s hair is so awesome that brushes have pictures of it on their walls. It’s true, he does have fabulously luscious locks and when he’s getting ready to go out he has a routine that means he’s primed and ready for anything. Unfortunately Shampoo Guy is secretive about his routine, however we do know that it includes a combination of amazing tunes and a Southern Comfort of course. That got us thinking. What would be the best ever soundtrack for getting ready? We know what we’d choose, but we don’t want to talk about us. It’s all about you. Share your favourite tracks with us and all our friends to create the ultimate Spotify playlist to get you in the mood. It’s so good you’ll want to stay in. Or maybe go out. You decide. Gluten Free ‘Nice and Nobbly’ Granola from Nature’s Path

I just wanted to alert you to an amazing gluten free granola that I disvocered a couple of weeks ago. Nature’s Path was kind enough to send me a couple of packs of their new ‘Nice and Nobbly’ granolas and I have to say they were devoured pretty quickly. The luxuriously crunchy granolas come in two indulgent flavours – Pumpkin Seeds, Almonds and Raisins with a light dash of cinnamon and Raspberries, Strawberries and Blueberries with yogurt chunks. Each features a tasty blend of rolled oats mixed with berries, seeds and nuts or yogurt pieces and is packed full of interesting flavour combinations and textures. Since 1985, Nature’s Path has been a ‘free-from’ breakfast pioneer and already makes the UK’s top-selling free-from cereal, ‘Mesa Sunrise’, which I had been eating prior to bring sent the granolas. I was sad when the last packet ran out recently and will now be going in search of more to keep up my delicious breakfast treats. Nature’s Path Nice and Nobbly Granola is priced at £3.49 and available to …
