Rose Oil Massage AT HOME with Spa by Car

I didn’t think last weekend would pan out as it did. I had the best I have had in ages, mostly because I saw lots of friends and drank lots of delicious booze. I was also treated to one of the best, albeit most painful, massages I have ever had. In the comfort of my own bedroom! Claire-Marie from Spa by Car rocked up to my flat in perfect time on Sunday. I had made sure to sleep off my hangover as much as I could before welcoming her into my home, armed with all the equipment she needed to work her magic on my tired and stressed body. I gave her a few minutes in my room to set up her workstation and when I walked in, my room sounded, looked and smelled like a spa. It was magical! I had opted for the rose oil body massage, which I was expecting to be so relaxing that I would maybe fall asleep during the treatment, but as Claire-Marie made her way down my body, by …

Bottomless Brunch at Good Ship Benefit, R.S Hispaniola

What Bottomless brunch and brow wax at Good Ship Benefit Where R.S Hispaniola, Embankment The experience “Quack, quack, quack”, my little webbed footed friend shouted to me as it crossed my path. Delirious, I turned over in bed and went back to snooze town. It wasn’t until I woke up 30 minutes later, croakily asking my boyfriend the time that I realised I needed to hurry. “9.30”, he replied. Shit, I thought. The quacking hadn’t been in my dream at all, it was my new silly alarm attempting to wake me up. I was going to be late to meet my friend Lucy and even worse late for our bottomless brunch and brow wax appointment at Good Ship Benefit, a three storey floating girlie heaven at the R.S Hispaniola, Embankment. I was hungover. I was in the midst of a boozy week with a distinct lack of sleep and hazily attempting to make my way to Embankment from Bethnal Green on a Sunday morning. It wasn’t easy. After a failed central line trip, which saw me alighting …

Reunited with Headmasters, Mayfair

Moving away from home is hard for many reasons. The hardest thing for me was missing my friends and family and a single day didn’t pass without wondering what they were doing, wishing I was there with them, laughing at their jokes and attempting to make them laugh with my nerdy jokes. Before As well as missing the usual things like tea bags, English chocolate and the BBC, I also really missed my regular hairdressing salon, Headmasters. After a couple of visits to the Biba Academy in Melbourne, I decided to leave my hair to do it’s thing while I travelled and pay Headmasters a visit when I eventually arrived in London. I cut my trip down by two months and arrived in London a few days ago. Jet lagged, I ventured into central London and walked into Headmasters Mayfair feeling like I had never even been away. I started off with a much needed complimentary coffee and Pervin made her way over to me for a quick Colour Theory Consultation, a new service to …

Drink Your Way to a Facelift With You BeauTEA

A sucker for skin products and a hot cup of tea, it’s no surprise that when I heard about a ‘beauty potion’ in the form of a berry infused tea that promises to generate active collagen properties and promote healthier hair, skin and nails, I couldn’t resist. The creation of You BeauTEA came from a passion not dissimilar to mine – the love of a daily ritual, a hot cup of tea coupled with the desire to find a natural product and of course improve ones aesthetic. After hearing that You BeauTEA’s natural ingredients were sourced from ethically sound suppliers in Japan, included regenerative, cleansing and hydrating properties that would help the body’s natural collagen levels, I didn’t care what it tasted like, I needed to get my hands on it, and quickly. Much to my disregard, it tasted great and I couldn’t help but feel my skin was tightening and radiating with the very first sip I took. While the added bonuses of You BeauTEA include a mixture of it being preservative and caffeine-free …
